Welcome to 2011

I can't believe it is already the second week of 2011! I was so proud of myself at the beginning of December. I finished all of our Christmas shopping in the first week, we put up the tree, and I was prepared and ready for the holidays. Then Adam had hip surgery, my parents came out for a week, and now it is the second week in January. Our tree is still up, laundry is piled high and I feel soooo behind.

I am slowly trying to get caught up. I have felt behind every minute of 2011. I have a three day weekend this weekend (thank you MLK, Jr.) and I hope to get control of my life one again.

In the mean time, here is a quick review of the past couple weeks:

Charlie's love for cardboard boxes blossomed. Here she is in her 'ready' position waiting to be pulled around the living room.

Charlie soon learned that my dad is just a little kid at heart. He did all pushing/pulling of the cardboard boxes and her toy lion.

Charlie also learned that not only is my dad a giant kid at heart, he also loves junk food - and is willing to share. Cheetos, ice cream cake, you name it, these two ate it.

Here is a close up of the mark on her left eye she got on Christmas Eve. We took her to the park in the afternoon and the slide won. Thankfully it did not turn into a black eye.

The traditional Christmas Eve photo.

Who needs toys on Christmas morning when there are cardboard boxes!

Hanging out with Grandma and her new pink Superman pajamas from Aunt Heather.

Sushi for New Year's Eve dinner.

For Christmas Santa brought us a membership to the Maryland Zoo. It was a cold and rainy day but we made the most of it. We did see animals although the only ones we took pictures of were of the two-legged variety.

Walking around the zoo like she owned the place.

This is her look letting us know that she is done with the zoo. Time to go home for a nap.

Last but not least, playing in her new tunnel Grandma Nikki and Oompa gave her for Christmas.
