After pictures we had lunch at the mall. We don't go to the mall very often because I don't love to shop and would rather spend my time outside. But it was very enjoyable and I wished that I was on maternity leave now rather than when she was an infant. The girl is much more enjoyable to hang out with now!
After lunch we went to her 9 month appointment. Thankfully Charlie has always been in good health and the visit was fairly routine. She weighs 18 lbs. 10 oz and is 28.25 inches long. This is the 50th and 75th percentiles, respectively. We mostly talked about food choices for Charlie. I find this part somewhat stressful. We have started giving her yogurt and last night I made pasta noodles and cut up some for her. The girl pretty much eats anything so it should be fun to explore new foods with her.
Finally, a little bit about me (after all, it is MY blog). Marathon training has been going well. I ran 18 miles on Saturday. It was really hot and humid and not a fun run but I did it. Adam and Charlie met me at the 7 mile mark. Adam was so supportive and got me through those last painful miles. As usual, Charlie did AWESOME in the jogging stroller. Adam and Charlie did 11 miles and it looks they are ready for their first half marathon together (the Missoula Half Marathon). Heather arrives on Sunday, the 13th, and we have plans to run 20 miles together on the 19th. Once we complete the 20 miler then all that is left is to taper, remain injury free, hydrate, and mentally prepare to run 26.2 miles!
