My due date is August 23rd so really we can have this baby any day now. I think we are as ready as we can be. The baby’s room is set up (for the most part) and we have all the essentials. There are still a few things that I want to get accomplished before she arrives but nothing that is earth shattering.
Health wise everything is going well. I have an appointment with the midwife this Wednesday and then I have an appointment every Wednesday after that. I am still feeling pretty good considering. I was tired this weekend but I had a long busy week at work last week. I think I am also still recovering from my weekend last weekend.
For Mother’s Day, Adam surprised me by buying a plane ticket for Heather (my sister) to fly out here and visit. Last weekend was the weekend that Heather visited. We had a great time and I was sad to see her leave since it was such a short visit. She arrived Thursday, the 16th in the evening. That Friday we went and had manicures and pedicures and did a little shopping. Saturday was spa day and it was heavenly. We each had an hour massage and an hour exfoliating body wrap. It was a spa that I had never been to before and I can’t wait to go back. I loved every minute of it. On Sunday some friends threw me a baby shower so it was great to have Heather here to attend the shower and meet everyone. That evening we then attended a going away party for one of my friends in the triathlon club. Like I said, it was a great weekend but I was very tired Monday morning when I drove Heather to the airport. That coupled with a hectic week at work made for a lazy weekend this weekend.
I told Heather that she made out pretty well with my Mother's Day gift. We both did actually. Adam told me next year I am getting a necklace made out of macaroni noodles for Mother's Day!
