Today Adam and I went and bought wedding rings. This was something I was looking forward to and dreading all at the same time. We went to a jewelry store that a co-worker recommended. It is a family owned store in Northern Baltimore. I think we were both a little nervous as we both felt out of our element.
I had an idea of what I wanted (a plain wedding band with a channel set diamond wedding band) because Heather and I had looked while she was visiting in August. I am not sure Adam had thought about the kind of ring he wanted. He is not a big fan of jewelery but said he would wear a wedding ring. At first he wanted matching wedding bands which I thought was sweet. But he didn't really like the men's version of the wedding band that looked best with the diamond wedding band I wanted. I was impressed as he took picking out a ring very serious. So serious that it took him much longer to pick his than it did to pick mine.
We set out today just to look at wedding bands but we ended up buying them. I am really happy with our rings and knowing that we are that much closer to getting married.
