The marathon was on Sunday and we flew out Tuesday morning so that left just one day to enjoy Missoula. We made plans with some of Heather's friends to go to Bonner Park. It is a small water park in Missoula and I knew Charlie would have a lot of fun. Before we left for the park we had to extract her new found toys from her hands.
Heather bought these balls for Charlie and she always had them in her hands. She even crawled with them. Charlie does not have a traditional crawl. She crawls with her right knee and left foot (see photo above). That position coupled with the balls and her knee getting caught in her dress caused her a lot of distress. But she refused to give up :) She is one persistent little girl!
Group shot of Heather, Charlie, Mom and me. Sorry about the lighting - it is still a great picture though!
Charlie had a great time at the water park. Even though it was a little cold she didn't cry.
We also coaxed her into crawling through a cement ring that has water spraying from all directions. I know she loves the water but I was even impressed that she crawled through it. The water was spraying her in the face but still she didn't cry.
We tried to get her to crawl through it again but this time she wised up and crawled around the ring :)
The flight home was long but Charlie did great. We had a great time in Montana and can't wait to go back!
