I had a cold this week so I spent most of the weekend trying to recover. I feel much better but still have a lot of congestion. It took me three days to realize that I wasn't dealing with allergies and I actually had a cold. So I am not the sharpest knife in the drawer these days.
I had planned on swimming Saturday morning (I have been doing this for the past few weeks) but there was another "fecal incident" in the pool Friday night. I didn't think enough time had past between the incident and when I wanted to swim so instead I went to work (tough decision - swimming in poop or working on a Saturday). In the afternoon Adam and I made a Costco run and then we came home and did some things around the house. One of the things was learning how to use the Baby Bjorn. We bought one at a garage sale a few months ago and I just recently washed it. Adam and Izzy were the guinea pigs: Yes, I have become one of those crazy dog people. Last weekend I practiced swaddling Izzy. Surprisingly she becomes quite calm when swaddled (I am sure it is the equivalent to a straight jacket to her).
This morning I took Izzy for a walk, watched the French Open Finals, and then went to my yoga class. Overall, not a bad weekend.
This week I work Monday, Tuesday, and half of Wednesday. I have an appointment with the midwife on Wednesday afternoon. Then Thursday morning I fly to Montana for a few days. I am really looking forward to a nice little vacation.
