The Home Stretch

Well, we are getting down to the wire. I had a really productive weekend so I am starting to get really excited for Costa Rica and the wedding. I think once I get down there and get settled I will feel much calmer about this whole adventure.

Yesterday I did the last of the shopping for the trip. All along I have been picking up things here and there but yesterday was the last hurrah. I am not much of a shopper but I had a lot of fun yesterday. I left the house at 10:30 and didn't get back until 4pm! Adam was supposed join me but he is sick, sick, sick. He has some type of cold which includes a fever, body aches, sore throat and runny nose. Hopefully he will get better soon. I just hope I don't get sick until after the wedding (if it even has to happen at all).

I am queen of to do lists and the only thing left on my wedding to do list is to pack. That is on the schedule for Wednesday night. I have already laid out most of the clothes. I like to pack by spreading everything out so I can see it. I have already started this process: clothes are folded in a laundry basket, electronics on the kitchen table, reading material next to my bedside stand, and wedding stuff in my office. I like this method but I don't think others in the house like it so much :)

My only concern is packing too much. After all it is my wedding and I want to look nice. But once we leave Manual Antonio (where the wedding is) we are flying to La Fortuna for our honeymoon. These little puddle jumpers in Costa Rica have a weight limit of 26 pounds per person. Anything over that is $1 per pound. The rest of the time we have a private driver so I can pack as much as I want. Even though I hate to needlessly spend money I think this is an instance where I just can't stress about it!

It is amazing to me to think that next week at this time I will be in Costa Rica. When we started planning this wedding it always felt so far away. Now it is right around the corner!
